On 14 September 2026, the DR.KEN Institute of Academic Development and Promotion participated as an official network partner in the National Academic Seminar titled “Developing the Primary Healthcare System to Enhance the Quality of Proactive Health Services through the ‘Grounded Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital’ Paradigm.” The event was held at the Pradab Fah Conference Hall, Phetcharat Garden Hotel, Mueang Roi Et District, Roi Et Province, Thailand.
Assistant Professor Dr. Sanya Kenaphoom, Director of the DR.KEN Institute of Academic Development and Promotion, represented the Institute at the opening ceremony and received a certificate of recognition for its contribution as an academic network partner.
He also served as an academic commentator and reviewer for innovation and academic poster presentations. In this role, he provided constructive academic feedback to presenters, supporting the improvement of their research and innovations and encouraging the practical application of knowledge to community-based healthcare services.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Chanida Phetroj, Deputy Chief Administrator of the Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization, serving as Acting Chief Administrator and performing the duties of the President of the Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization. Mr. Phanuphong Phaenlinfa, Director of the Public Health Division, delivered the opening report.
The seminar brought together heads of government agencies, members of the Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization Council, healthcare personnel from Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals under the supervision of the Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization, and personnel from its Public Health Division.
The event was organized to strengthen academic knowledge and understanding, facilitate lesson-learning, and promote the exchange of experiences relating to the development of primary healthcare systems administered by local government organizations. It focused on enhancing proactive health services in accordance with the circumstances and needs of individual communities.
The “Grounded Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital” paradigm emphasizes close engagement with communities, participation among local network partners, and the development of an accessible, responsive, and sustainable primary healthcare system.
The seminar also provided a platform for presenting and exchanging academic work across five principal categories: research and Routine to Research (R2R), innovations, flagship projects, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and academic contributions from network partners, village health volunteers, and community organizations.
Additional activities included discussions on successful community health initiatives, academic exhibitions, and presentations of effective operational models that could be adapted and expanded in other communities.
The participation of the DR.KEN Institute of Academic Development and Promotion as both an academic network partner and a provider of expert academic review reflects the Institute’s commitment to advancing research, innovation, and academic services for society. It also highlights the importance of connecting academic knowledge with real-world practice to strengthen healthcare personnel and improve people’s quality of life.
The DR.KEN Institute remains committed to collaborating with government agencies, local administrative organizations, academic institutions, healthcare professionals, and community partners to develop relevant knowledge and practical innovations. Through these partnerships, the Institute seeks to contribute to a stronger, more accessible, and sustainable primary healthcare system in Thailand.
