On 4 August 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Sanya Kenaphoom, Lecturer in the Public Administration Program at Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University and Director of the DR.KEN Institute of Academic Development and Promotion, participated in his second TCI training course, the “TCI Editor Training Program B: Publication Ethics, Class 2.”

Organized by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), the training was held in the Surasak 1–2 Rooms on the 11th floor of the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok.

The program built upon the TCI Editor Training Program A1: Practitioner Level and was designed to deepen editors’ and editorial board members’ knowledge of publication ethics and professional standards for academic journals indexed in the TCI database.

The training covered ethical principles for editors, different forms of plagiarism, publication ethics policies for journal websites, and the responsibilities of editors, reviewers, authors, and publishers. Other topics included human and animal research ethics, academic misconduct, malpractice, and policies concerning the use of artificial intelligence.

Participants also examined procedures for managing ethical issues involving published articles, including withdrawal, retraction, and correction. Case studies from Thailand and abroad were used to strengthen practical understanding, alongside training in plagiarism-checking tools and AI-generated content detection.

Following the training and assessment, Assistant Professor Dr. Sanya received an Editor’s Certificate of Completion from the TCI Centre, confirming his successful completion of the publication ethics program.

The training strengthened his expertise in maintaining the quality, integrity, and credibility of academic journals. The knowledge gained can support research development, scholarly publishing, and academic networks in operating with transparency, accountability, and internationally recognized ethical standards.
